The surviving miracle, born in the 7th month of pregnancy, Sawsan had almost lost her life. Back in 1970, in the 17th of January, her mother had to deliver her sooner than expected where she struggled to cling to her dear life, and a timely divine intervention looked after her, leaving her destined to be a woman of a message and inspiration to the world. She turned out to be an athlete and an artist, a combination that made her one of a kind. Back in her school days, she was active in all athletic festivals arranged by her school where she was particularly professional in gymnastics. Graduating with a bachelor degree of physical education from the University of Jordan, Sawsan then sought a position of a teacher at a local school in Palestine where she taught sports. She also developed a passion of ballet dancing and decided afterwards to start offering training in ballet, fitness, and overall gymnastics. Sawsan is a Palestinian artist, and living in the West Bank with all its conflicts and tragedies thus left a clear mark on her paintings. Most of what she drew portrayed the reality of an occupied territory, a situation not far from what she has lived through.
